Full job description

Candidates chosen are responsible for

  • Preparing account reconciliations
  • Calculation of fixed assets and depreciation
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns
  • Preparing monthly and yearly general ledger
  • Tracking daily receipts
  • Recording and collection of bank activities
  • Recording of revenues
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial report
  • Assist the finance director with the annual budget presentation
  • Helping in the development of a commercial financial report

Ideal job requirement

  • Ability to use computers
  • Must be able to speak fluent English
  • Ability to use various software
  • Should know about payroll processing
  • Should know modern office practices
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Must be able to coordinate and organize work activity
  • Must have sound judgment with established guidelines
  • Ability to generate good working relationships with other employees
  • Must be able to carry out effective work with little or no supervision

Experience required

  • College/CEGEP
  • 2 to 3yrs experience in an accounting role

Working conditions

The candidate chosen would be required to work in conditions where:

  • Balancing various accounts using a computerized bookkeeping system is required
  • Preparation of tax returns
  • Reconcile accounts and preparation of post-journal entries
  • Calculation of cheque and pay-roll

  • Multitasking is required
  • Must be able to meet up with targets and deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Prepare financial statement reports

  • The chosen candidate would provide a Criminal record
  • The chosen candidate would provide an Adult abuse registry
  • The chosen candidate would provide a Child abuse registry
  • The chosen candidate would provide a Medical exam check

Salary

  • The chosen candidate would earn $25.50 per hour while working for 40hrs per week
