Process and Cost of Moving to Melbourne

Step 4: State Nomination Application

There are different procedures to follow for this state nomination application. If you are lucky, you won’t have to pay any fees for its application, and it takes between 1 to 4 weeks before the decision on your application is approved by the state government.

Step 5: Visa Application

The visa application is on the internet, and applicants should ensure they have original copies of documents such as work experience, financial records, criminal records, valid passport, two photographs, etc. The fee for a primary visa applicant is AUD 3,755, while they can be an extra fee of AUD 4,890 for someone over 18 years old and a non-English speaker. The reason for these additional charges is to enroll the person in English classes.
