If the duration is more than four months, then a restriction will occur on the quota, it is almost the same thing with the L-Permit, the only difference is the L-Permit can’t be extended.

3.    The G-Permit:

This permit is only for workers who are working across different borders. Citizens who are from third world countries will only be issued a cross-border permit. If they have gotten a permanent residence permit from a nearby country, there is a need for them to have obtained the cross-border permit within a period of six months, and this permit can last up to 12 months.

4.    The C-Permit:

This kind of permit is mainly for people who have stayed in Switzerland for ten years. There are two countries that are exempted from this rule – the United States, and Canada because they only need to live in Switzerland for five years to apply for a residence work permit.
